Häagen ‑ Dazs Macadamia Nut Brittle Ice Cream was my inspiration for this recipe.
If you leave the liquid longer than the specified time, the creamy vanilla note from the ice cream comes into its own even better. Unfortunately, this pushes the taste of the macadamia nut into the background. So you have to decide for yourself what you prefer. :-)
