Midnight Pie

MC Club Nov 2022 - Everybody Loves Pie Prompt was, make a pie. To see what we'd all come up with. Initially I attempted the same pie crust I'd used before but added FLV caramel to "darken" it. Well, FLV caramel took over pretty badly. So, I fell back to my other crust tester which was FA Apple + VT Croissant. I felt like you got a buttery crust out of this, but it didn't *quite* come off strong or grainy enough so I added just a touch of OOO Pie crust which is in the other grainer crust and feel like this balanced out better. If i had more time I'd play with the percentage on it more but it doesn't need a lot as it's playing a boost role here. The blueberry here is FLV Blueberry + FW Blueberry gives you a middle/base blueberry note. Cap Blueberry jam brings the "cooked" and syrupy part of the innards. Stole it from Enraged Nugget as it's a trio in one of my favorite blueberry recipes. I felt like it was missing a top/complete note though in this case for an actual pie filling and needed a pop, so added VSO blueberry which really rounds it out. Basically what I attempted to do here was take what I knew about crusts and blueberry and smash them up in a blender to see if I got anywhere. I think I actually did.
