Bluffin (Blueberry Muffin)
Description
MC November 2022 - Prompt: Fruit Pie
So I always kind of wanted to make a mix with flv blueberry muffin and put the muffin back in. What I did was paired it with VT Bilberry because I wanted a bit more jamminess to it. Felt like actual jams might not be the right call for what I wanted yet still felt like it wasn't quite right. Tried a few other combinations to see how they would play... a teensy bit of bakery oranges, some flv boysenberry, a hint of jammy berry but wasn't feeling any of them. I put it over my 'place holder' layer of cap sc/fa meringue but tossed in a little fa almond to get a more linzer cookie vibe. Still, I felt like i was somewhere between soft baked and not quite that almond cookie crunch. I figured lemme try and see if i can bend sugar cookie into something with a bit more texture that might also tweak the blueberries with a bit of darkness so i added flv oatmeal raisin. Happy enough with this, but lacking a definitive bakery relatability, I decided to add cap nut muffin to bend it all the muffin way/support the nut portion. I think this will get me nearly all the way there, but not sure quite yet. In the end, i feel the fun of that warm flv blueberry muffin cooked blueberry got a little lost and I may just go back and start all over for a simpler version that showcases it more. So, here's the end of this run. All suggestions welcome of where you would have taken a left turn at Albuquerque are encouraged.Recipe
