Cellar Aged Soda - Sticky Ichor

Submitted for Mixers Club October 2022 - Witch's Cauldron. I took a sambuca base I was working on and decided to throw in some lime and herbal flavors to get a little weird with it. It ended up as a funky black herbal citrus drink, likened by a friend as a citrus beverage counterpart to my 30 Days of Night recipe. The sambuca base is comprised of SSA Anise, TFA Horehound, VT Raw Sugar, SSA Candy Liquorice, and CAP Super Sweet. It's thick, sweet, and full of anise. If you like Sambuca, give it a try. I feel like it's pretty spot on. The secondary task at hand was to funk this thing up. I really wanted to pair this with some lime. INW Shisha Lime is the main player here, but I felt it needed a little more punch and to bring it more into beverage territory I felt like SSA Sour Lime fit the bill. For further funkification I tossed in a little FLV Yakima Hops to push the herbal qualities of the anise, horehound, and to a lesser extent, the liquorice. The pine added a really neat vibe that I loved. It's a little weird, but it is interesting and I'm pretty proud of it. As always, I hope you enjoy it!
