Nanaimo Heaux (Nanaimo Bar Cake)

Description

Flavor Profile - Dessert | Top - Almond/Coconut | Base - Omega Chocolate Cake > **Description -** Nanaimo Heaux/Nanaimo Bar Cake with it's wonderfully balanced almond top note, enticingly decadent omega chocolate, mouthwatering coconut so satiating you won't put it down. Before you know it you will have _++run through++_ (_Which is why I named it Heaux lol_) [Alch3m1st](https://alltheflavors.com/users/Alch3m1st) the king of desseris back and in pure Alch3m1st form I create a banger right out the gate; sometimes intuition/necessity creates the best mixes. Simple is sometimes the best, when it comes to saturation. Nanami Heaux amplifies what flavor profile already existed in [**WF- Nanaimo Bar**](https://www.wonderflavours.com/products/nanaimo-bar-sc) and added a twist by putting a bakery [**FW- Yellow Cake**](https://flavorjungle.com/products/yellow-cake-by-flavor-west?variant=17267082231866)** **as the new building block. Transforming the yellow cake into a marbled chocolate cake with cocount/almond accents you won't forget. ## **| Flavor Notes |** **========================================================================================================================** ### **| Base Notes |** [**FW - Yellow Cake**](https://flavorjungle.com/products/yellow-cake-by-flavor-west?variant=17267082231866)** (4%) - **This is used as the _++**base**++_ flavoring. Yellow Cake is a well saturated, pre-sweetened flavoring that gives the impression of a yellow cake quite heavily. B y keeping it at 4% we ensure saturation without having so much that it _**mutes**_ the [_**WF- Nanaimo Bar**_](https://www.wonderflavours.com/products/nanaimo-bar-sc)** **that is blended into this recipe. When creating a recipe that calls for a cake 9/10 FW- Yellow Cake is a good way to go. [**WF - Nanaimo Bar SC**](https://www.wonderflavours.com/products/nanaimo-bar-sc)** (3%) - **This is also used as part of the _++**base**++_ When used appropriately nanaimo bar from Wonder Flavors can truly shine. This flavoring consists of an almost nesquick fudge chocolate (but light), shredded coconut and a hint of almond but barely noticeable. The goal was to take this base and lean into characteristics even more. When dealing with ++super concentrates++ it's best to_** keep the percentage low**__++**!!!**++_ It was honestly brave of me keeping this at 3% but because I lean so heavily into these flavors I am able to get away with it. The goal is to use this as a way of transforming that yellow cake into something more resemblance of a coconut chocolate cake (essentially marbling the cake). Many of my recipes usually have atleast 2 flavors that create the base. This gives your recipe a chance to stand out amongst the crowd and part of the secret to my success on my old Alch3m1st page I am currently locked out of. ### **| Accent/Top Notes |** [**FJ- Omega Chocolate**](https://flavorjungle.com/products/omega-chocolate-one-shots?variant=39616373719098)** (1%) **- Don't let F lavor Jungle fool you into thinking tha this is just a "one shot", it is much more than that. It is a cheat code to having a well rounded milk chocolate. Anytime you want to emphasize a chocolate or lean into a chocolate in one of your recipes reach for this. This always provides whatever that other chocolate you are using is missing. I keep it at 1% because the star of the show is the nanaimo bar, I am just trying to add some nuance to the chocolate improving what is alread in the _**WF- Nanaimo Bar**_. [**FA- Almond**](https://flavorjungle.com/products/almond-by-flavourart?variant=39376602791994)** (1%) - FA Almond** is a bit of an "OG" when it comes to E-juice recipes, there is a very good reason for that. Out of all the almonds I have tried this is the one I keep coming back to. It's the perfect raw natural almond to add to almost any recipe, and surprisingly versatile. I added this at 1% because the almond note that is supposed to be present in a nanaimo bar was missing from **WF- Nanaimo Bar SC**, so I used this at a low percentage to give what was already there a boost. Remember to keep flavorings like** FA- Almond** and other nuts at _++low percentages++_ because they can easily _**overpower**_ any mixes you may have. Unlike ~~_**fruits, sweet, floral**_~~ flavorings, nuts have a lasting overpowering chemistry, use them with caution. ============================================================================================================================ **Mixer's Thought -** This recipe was made out of desperation. I haven't been mixing for a long time (1 Year) but now I'm back using whatever flavorings I had left behind and unlike most of my [Alch3m1st](https://alltheflavors.com/users/Alch3m1st) recipes this one was made with no sweetener other than what is inside of [(Flavor West) - Yellow Cake](https://flavorjungle.com/products/yellow-cake-by-flavor-west?variant=17267082231866). Alch3m1st the king of desserts is back and in pure Alch3m1st form I create a banger right out the gate; sometimes intuition/necessity creates the best mixes. More mixes will becoming in the future, my financial situation is what has been stopping me from creating, but I am back and back with a vengeance. **Mixing Philosphy-** > “**Absorb what is useful, Discard what is not, add what is uniquely your own**.”- Bruce Lee What this means is become familiar with your flavorings, learn them inside in out. Take for example [_**TFA- Strawberry**_](https://flavorjungle.com/products/the-flavor-apprentice-strawberry?variant=16574587961402) when paired with [_**TFA- Strawberry RIpe**_ ](https://flavorjungle.com/products/the-flavor-apprentice-strawberry-ripe?variant=17267019219002)transforms it into a completely different strawberry. Using one as the base and the other as the accent or accompanying flavor. Take the knowledge of what you learn from other mixes and adapt it into your style of mixing. I for instance mix a lot of desserts I don't force myself to make recipes I wouldn't vape myself. Yes I do create recipes outside my comfort zone but I do what I do best and learn from making something I normally wouldnt. Take what works, remove what doesn't, express your true self. > For more awesome E-juice recipes please either go to my old [Alch3m1st](https://alltheflavors.com/users/Alch3m1st) page/Follow me on [**here**](https://alltheflavors.com/mixers/Alch3m1st_Is_Back).
